The USA is the world‘s third largest country in size and nearly the third
largest in terms of population.
Located in North America, the country is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean
and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.
In the north by Canada and in the south by Mexico.
Its Capital is Washington, D.C. and the total Area is 3.796.742,14mi² (9.833.517km²).
The highest Point with 20.308,4ft (6.190m) is the mountain Denali in Alaska and the lowest Point with -282,2ft (-86 m) is the Badwater Basin in the Death Valley.
The USA is divided into 50 states. The smallest is Rhode Island, 1.545,2mi² (4.002km²),
and the biggest Alaska, 663.267,1mi² (1.717.854km²).
The lowest temperature recorded in the USA was in Alaska in 1971.
The temperature was -80°F (-62°C). The hottest temperature recorded was in California in 1913. The temperature measured 132,8°F (56°C).
In 2021, there lived 331.9mio people in the USA.
Some of the biggest cities are New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The USA is also known for its many national parks, 423 to be exact.
They’re spread all over the country with the biggest being Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska with over 19.305mi² (50.000km²).
